Rhode Island Student Collaborative Overview​

The Rhode Island Student Collaborative is a student-run organization whose mission is to eliminate power-based interpersonal violence through awareness, support, and education.
We meet monthly to support one another in violence prevention and advocacy service efforts throughout the state of Rhode Island.

History:
​
RISC was derived in the fall of 2016 from the Rhode Island Cross-Campus Learning Collaborative for Sexual Violence Prevention. The RI Cross-Campus Learning Collaborative has representation from sexual violence prevention professional staff and advocates on each of the 11 colleges/universities across the state as well as membership from stakeholder agencies and organizations within the states. The Professional Collaborative has met monthly since its inception in 2015.

Empower students across Rhode Island campuses to strengthen sexual and relationship violence prevention efforts and support survivors through advocacy, awareness, and education to create safer communities.
